This was the first day that I had ever met Grace, she was a shy New Zealand four year old girl. Through certain opportunities in my life, I had a part in helping raise her until earlier this year. She is now seven, and it has been some of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. I’m a young unmarried guy, but taking responsibility for a young life caused me to mature in ways that I had never thought of. I feel as though I am a better person for the experience, even though some times I wanted to escape the responsibility. She made an indelible impact on my life that I will never forget. more…
